| In 2000 a group of area Police Officers joined together to help raise funds to support the Illinois Special Olympics. Our organization, Cops United For Friends of Special Olympics (C.U.F.F.S.) was created.
Each year C.U.F.F.S. holds an annual Motorcycle Poker Run to raise money for Illinois Special Olympics. This year, our 8th Annual Motorcycle Poker Run will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2008. In conjunction with our Poker Run, we will also be holding our 4th Annual Car Show. The Poker Run will start at the V.F.W. located at 63rd & Harlem Avenue in Summit. Registration begins at 8:00 am with the first motorcycle leaving at 9:30 am. The Poker Run will cover approximately 100 miles with the last stop being Summit Park, 5700 Archer Road in Summit. The Car Show will also be held at Summit Park. Registration for the Car Show will be from 10:00 am until Noon with the judging to begin at Noon. There will be 30 categories of cars judged with over 90 awards given. The Car Show is scheduled to run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. At the conclusion of the Poker Run, a Bar-B-Que and raffle will be held in the Park. Anybody who is not able to participate in the actual Poker Run or Car Show is welcome to join us at the Bar-B-Que. There will be entertainment, raffles, food and refreshments. The Summit Water Park and Miniature Golf Course will be available for all children attending the Bar-B-Que.
