Officers Weyer and Seaquist were partners assigned to tactical patrol for the Village of Summit Police Department. As early as 1988, Weyer became involved in various fund raising events benefiting the Illinois Special Olympics. In time, Weyer's interest in the cause, was shared by Seaquist. Wanting to do more, and help grow their efforts the team created an organization named C.U.F.F.S., Cops United for Friends of Special Olympics. C.U.F.F.S. operates on a nominal budget with all net proceeds going directly to the Illinois Special Olympics to be disbursed throughout the state to help support the Special Olympic Events. In 2001, Weyer and Seaquist hosted the first Annual C.U.F.F.S. Motorcycle Poker Run fundraiser. Each year since, the event has become increasingly more popular in attendence and sponsorship. We hope to see you at this year's Event and as always, your participation and donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
